Two Too Cool Tools To Turn Your Feeds Into Research Gold Mines

Here are two really cool new web2.0 feed applications that each do something new, exciting and different with RSS feeds. One shows you the best feeds according to social engagement and the other frees your feeds from the reader and shows them to you when they are relevant to what you are already reading. But that's just not cool enough for you. Oh, no, not by a long shot. For you I had to go one better and show you a way to combine these two too cool tools into a super feed research engine.

Have You Hugged Your RSS Today?

Promoting your blog through feed directories and aggregators can bring in some of the best traffic you'll get. On top of the traffic, it helps seed your link further out into the blogosphere and bring those little lovable search spiders around to visit. I'm testing out a new (well, new to me) Feed/Blog Directory called rssHugger. Not a lot of info yet, but I share what I know and I'll follow up on this later.

Sort Your Feeds By The Quality Of The Posts

AideRSS is a clever new service for ranking feeds by the quality of their posts. Posts that garner more attention by way of links and comments are scored higher than posts that do not manage to involve the community as well. Very cool.

RSS Aggregators

These are RSS Aggregators.
