Improve Your Writing Skills By Participating In A Meme

Eavesdrop WriterVienne at Eavesdrop Writer has launched a new weekly creative writing meme. This meme helps improve writing skills by giving you the beginning (and middle) part of a conversation or encounter that she has witnessed.

You can then pick up the story where she left off and finish the dialog or encounter in your own creative style.

This should offer you an excellent opportunity to improve your own writing in two ways. First, by participating in the weekly meme, you gain a quick easy practice session each week. Second, by reading other writer's entries you learn new ideas and devices that you can adopt to your own style.

I'm seriously considering starting a new blogger blog just to participate in this meme and any other I can find like it.

this is a pretty creative way to get people into writing and help them practice...usually these ideas don't sound like much fun but since its weekly and theirs a community behind it I think I'll test it out myself as well. Cool find

Hi Vienne,

I really like the meme idea. I think it's great for people to practice writing skills. There are so many memes that really don't serve any purpose, it's nice to see some come along that do.

Wow, Dane! Thank you very much for posting about my meme. I am really REALLY excited about it and the messages I've gotten so far, including one story already! I think your new meme blog idea is great. I say Go For It! We'll see what happens next. Vienne
