I’m working on developing a portfolio for doing freelance writing. Now, by and large nearly all of my work centers around topics directly related to blogging. It’s just something I find fascinating.
I need to build a portfolio of articles that are about other things and rather than set up dozens of blogs with just a post or two on them I figure, why not write for you and let you post the article on your blog.
some conditions on this deal.
1. G-rated preferred, PG=13 possibly considered anything beyond that not considered.
2. Preferably you need something NOT in the blogging, social media, entrepreneurial fields.
3. I get a small picture of me with an about Dane blurb and a link back to my freelance portfolio page at the bottom of the article.
4.The article is 100% unique. I maintain copyright but neither of us is permitted to repost the article elsewhere.
Post the topic you want an article on and url of the blog you would like me to consider.
You can post the info here in the comments section, on my shout box at BlogCatalog or at Hey Dane! just submit a ticket in the “freelance” department.

Dane I’m very interested in this. I’m currently looking for someone willing to voice their opinion on Microsoft and it’s latest release, Windows 7. Personally I feel that it should have been offered as a free upgrade to Vista and that Vista was a complete rip-off and Microsoft has completely crossed the line and become too greedy. There are other things on top of this (such as Microsoft implanting a bug into Mozilla’s core to disrupt things) that is leading me to believe Microsoft is getting desperate.
I need another opinion though. If you agree with me I’ll post your article, if you disagree then I will post your article alongside my own where we agree to disagree.

Anything DJ related would be fine, as long as it’s substantive. I realize you may not be able to write something very technical, though on the other hand, with some research maybe you will. It’s up to you, really, but I think it would be good practice if you’re looking for something outside of your usual topics or even outside of anything computer/online related. Sounds like a great offer to me.
I’ve got a portfolio of blogs and always looking for guest writers to contribute something, in preference to topping up original site-content from the article libraries.
BuildaSkill.com is mainly about home-based entrepreneurship and online marketing, but there’s lots of scope for you ply a different angle – topic zones where we usually struggle to fill up include photography for the web, sourcing via the web, basic business “how tos” such as choosing your accountant or book-keeper, finding affordable business start-up premises outside of your home, and so on. Best bet is to have a nosy at the site and examine all the categories of topics.
Other sites in my folio including a selection of food and cooking niche blogs (Asian cuisine, BBQ and so on), Fair Trade and Handicrafts sites, and more. Maybe we can set up some reciprocals? I’ve a large enough folio (even though it’s still small and young) to triangulate links and prevent mutual-link search-engine penalties.
