So in the midst of the Great BlogCatalog Debate, I solicited the aid of the membership to help me locate backlinks from BlogCatalog to the members blogs. I did this because I was operating under the incorrect premise that results returned by the link: operator in Google searches had some meaning or more to the point would be links that carry weight. Matt Cutts has since declared this premise false, and he's the guy with the mojo to do so.

What's The Point?

But the point of this post isn't that I am capable of selecting false premises (it would be a much longer post if it were). The point of this post is that when asked to be social, to be helpful. BlogCatalog members respond. When asked for help they serve it up. This post is about thanking them for that help.

These are those helpful members and their blogs. Be sure to visit some of these blogs and user profiles and leave them a quick note. You'll be hooking up with people who genuinely want to be involved in your community.
