Ultimate Marketing Knowledge Search

Google Custom Search EngineThe Google Custom Search Engine allows you to set up your own search niche engine.

Roll Your Own Google Niche Search Engine

You can limit the sites that are searched by including specific site and page URIs. You then can decide to only search among these URIs, or to favor them, but search across the web. You can also add negative URIs that will not be included in your searches.

The other option which you can use instead of, or in addition to the first, is to steer the search results by listing a few keywords that will influence the results your search engine returns.

This allows you to finely tune your search engine to return results that are highly relevant. You are combining the power of Google's algorithm with the intelligence that only human selection can bring to the relevancy table. That, my friend, can make for powerful mojo.

The Ultimate Marketing Knowledge Search Engine

I've begun a new Google CSE, the Ultimate Marketing Knowledge Search Engine. I've begun it with just a few over 1,100 blogs. These blogs are all related to one aspect of marketing or another. I've included blogs focused on advertising, copy writing, affiliate marketing, niche marketing, blogging, email marketing, and several other marketing disciplines.

I've also included several blogs that most marketers would over look. Blogs focused on things like writing, blog software, specific web technologies and other things that will benefit the average internet marketer to pay attention to.

Plans for the Future of the UMKSE

I plan to keep adding to this search engine, and to weed out sites that do not return good results. I'll be maintaining this search engine for my own use, so you get to enjoy the benefits of an engine that I have a real interest in making good.

You can search at the Ultimate Marketing Knowledge Search Engine itself, or just use the search form here. It's in the side bar, just under the search form for this site.

If you use it, please leave any comments you might have for sites you think should be added or removed, and I'll take it into consideration.

Makes Sense...

Google is definitely the most popular search engine available, so it is always nice to get some extra help for IMers related to Google. Setting up my own custom searches is a neat little idea. Thanks for the heads up!
