A New Business Idea Give Away.

Recently I posted a business idea that i gave away, but only to subscribers to danemorgan.com (you can subscribe here). This was originally prompted by a post on Noah Flemings blog. Noah is a great guy, and really strives to excel and over deliver in every thing he does.

Anyhow the upshot of all of this is that yesterday I had a business idea thet I think is really great, but no way do I have time or resources to develop. (I'm currently developing two membership niche sites, unhappy with the infrequency of my updates here, and maintaining all of my little niche blogs) There are only so many hours in the day. This time, however I'm giving this idea away to anyone, not just subscribers.

But if you are looking for an idea for a new site to start as a small home business, you might want to give this a shot.

The idea is simple. It's a community based site in the full flavor of Web 2.0. You would want a membership script and give each user a profile page and a publishing page. Then the idea is to encourage conversations between the users with a little twist. They are supposed to post their comments to one another in song lyrics. I call the site concept songversations (and at the time of this writing songversations.com is unregistered).

This would be very easy to advertise, make viral, and to monetize. You could sell music obviously since your users will by definition be interested in music. allposters would be another good afiliate. Many of the campaigns at primaryads would work well for this group. Dating sites with an emphasis on younger people would probably do well. Also education and credit related programs would probably do very well.

To make the site better enable the users to add a friends list, favorite songs/cds/artists, user profiles, best music blogs (this would get them linking back to you). A tell a friend script would be mandatory since the more friends using the site the more enjoyable the experience and the more ultimately profitable it would be.

So theres my new idea give away. I hope you like it, and if you like it, I hope you run with it.
