How To gain Even More Traffic By Adding A BlogCast To Your Blog
One of the great ancillary benefits to publiching a BlogCast from your blog is the fact that you can then submit your blog to all kinds of directories that you couldn't submit to before - PodCast Directories.
These Directories will send you targeted traffic through your podcast feed, that you might not otherwise have reached with your regular blog posting. And since it's difficult to autogenerate audio recordings without landing your self in a heap of legal troubles you'll face less competition from bottom feeders and spammers in these directories.
Best of all, Most of these directories are completely free to submit to. This is a real benefit to the home based business blog owner, since we tend to operate on smaller budgets and tighter margins. Not only are these podcasting directories good advertising, they are also free advertising.
Now the flip side to that is that you need to be ready, have your ducks lined up and have great content before you start submitting. You'll be competing against others who care enough to take the time to create real content for their audience too.
To get you off to a good start hunting down this new traffic, once you have your BlogCast up and running I'll post a few PodCast Directories for you to submit to here. Later i will be posting a more comprehensive list in the resources section, which is currently still under development.
Note: Many, indeed, most of these directories will require you to create a free account before you can list your BlogCast. This is a good thing because it means the quality is higher, the noise lower and your results better.
